Op het Indonesische eiland Sumatra is de Sinabung uitgebarsten. De vulkaan geldt als actief en barst wel vaker uit, doorgaans met doden tot gevolg. Vooralsnog zijn er geen doden of gewonden gemeld naar aanleiding van de laatste uitbarsting op zondag.
