Beth Shak, 51 poses for a picture with part of her shoe collection. A shoe fetishist is has spoken of her relief after her ex-husband dropped a legal battle to win a portion of her massive $1m shoe collection. Hedge-fund titan Daniel Shak, 52, was fighting to win 35% of the value of ex-wife Beth’s 1200 luxury shoes, but yesterday (TUE) dropped the case. Poker champion Beth went through six hours of testimony at Montgomery County Courthouse near Philadelphia, USA, before Mr Shak suddenly stopped his legal action against her. Beth, 51, said Mr Shak knew he was going to lose and realised he didn’t want to see his daughter go through a testimony. Amazingly, Beth told the court that her shoe addiction was fuelled by problems in their love life. She said Mr Shak would shun his former wife – who has a Christian Louboutin stiletto tattooed on her pelvic bone – even when she tried to get steamy with him. Instead he would suggest she go shoe shopping, and she would oblige. She said there was such a lack of emotion and love in the relationship, she filled the void with shopping and couldn’t stop.
