2020 begint steeds meer op 2016 te lijken. Zelfvoldane Democraten geloven dat ze aan de goede kant van de geschiedenis staan en lachen president Trump progressief, divers en inclusief uit. Maar de afgelopen weken is de voorsprong van Joe Biden in de peilingen teruggelopen.
Verschillende peilers stellen nu dat het een nek-aan-nek race is in meerdere swing states. Kennelijk voelt het zo goed om progressief te zijn en de hele dag Orange Man Bad te scanderen, dat de Democraten indutten. Dat is althans wat documentairemaker Michael Moore – bekend van de kritische documentaire over klimaatbeleid die werd gecensureerd van YouTube – de Democratische Partij verwijt.
