A traffic accident in the French city of Lille has left four dead Sunday morning after an Alfa Romeo collided head-on with a police car. Three of the fatalities are Roubaix police officers. Two were seriously injured.
The deceased officers are two men and a woman aged 24 and 25. A 16-year-old girl who was also in the police car was seriously injured. The 16-year-old girl was possibly an arrestee.

The driver of the Alfa Romeo was killed; the passenger was seriously injured. Both the deceased driver of the Alfa Romeo and the seriously injured co-driver are “acquaintances of the police,” among other reasons because of alcohol and drug abuse.
According to eyewitnesses, the Alfa Romeo was driving at high speed on the wrong side of the road.
